Choose Happiness

Does money bring happiness? Always a great discussion question. You could certainly argue that it does, but not directly. In other words, money offers more choices. Since having more choices is a form of freedom, and, most people would agree that freedom brings happiness, then yes, you could say that money can indeed bring happiness.

What happens when we remove a choice? In recent months many people have been forced to work from home. This was not a choice, but a necessity to keep people safe. At first, it may have been stressful, but now many people have started to focus on the benefits of remote workstyles. For one, less commuting is a real time-saver. Not commuting has given people time to pursue things that they didn’t have time to do before. Conversely, some people prefer being in an office as it allows a separation of work and free time.

Not everyone will be given a choice of work location, but let’s remember that one of the greatest attributes of humans is adaptability.

As we enter into a new month, and a less restricted phase of the pandemic, some

companies are gradually moving employees back to the office. Not everyone will be given a choice of work location, but let’s remember that one of the greatest attributes of humans is adaptability. Whether continuing to work from home, or required to go back to the office, we must adjust accordingly and find the bright side. That is what we do in order to maintain a healthy and happy perspective on life.

In short, whatever your work location, please continue to be vigilant, stay safe, and choose happiness.
