Hello friends.

A Happy New Year to all!

It’s a new year and time to think about how we can make this year better than the last. Based on the Chinese calendar, it’s the year of the Dragon, a year of power, honor and success. Although it’s fun to think about such things as we all want to start each year with a sense of purpose and optimism, we must remember that we can make a year whatever we choose it to be.

Like a blank canvass awaiting the painter’s vision to be applied, a new calendar symbolizes a clean slate, ready for plans to be made. However, we must remember that it is not the year itself that defines our story, rather it is the choices we make along the way.

It’s interesting to consider how much attention is given to a new year. We all tend to romanticize January 1st, when after all it’s just another day. Why do we do this? Perhaps because it is a new beginning and that represents the opportunity for change. We know that days turn into weeks and months and eventually seasons, each one holding the potential for transformation. To be healthier, acquire knowledge, advance your career; things that we all aspire to achieve.

Most years consist of 365 days, each one, just like January 1st, represents a new beginning and new opportunities. If you have yet to make your New Year’s resolutions, it’s not too late. Start on Jan 2 or whenever you are ready. The essence of progress lies not solely on what you do on January 1st but in the consistent efforts made day by day.

In 2024, let’s draw upon the strength and honor of the Dragon as we navigate the chapters yet to be written. Let’s remember that the canvas upon which our story unfolds is only limited by the choices that we make, not by time itself.

Wishing you health and happiness, always.
